Jennifer Garner‘s son Samuel nearly stood taller than her during a recent outing in Los Angeles.
The 54-year-old actress and teen, whom she shares with 53-year-old ex-husband Ben Affleck, were spotted grabbing beverages and stopping by a bank in the city’s Brentwood neighborhood.
Missing from the scene were Garner and Affleck’s two older children – Violet, 20, and Fin, 17.
The Alias alum was clad in a baby blue crew neck sweater, light wash jeans, and white sneakers.
For his part, Samuel was equally casual in a grey zip-up hoodie and black sweatpants.
While Garner stands at 5’8″, her son will soon tower over her if he grows as tall as his dad, who is 6’3″.

Garner paid tribute to her ex-husband on Father’s Day in a thoughtful Instagram post.
She shared never-before-seen snaps of the Oscar winner with their kids and remembered her late father William.
The star wrote, ‘My sisters and I loved to spoil our dad; he never wanted for fresh baked cookies or a bowl of ice cream.
‘I see the way my kids dote on their dad and I’m happy for them. To love and be loved by a great dad is a gift.’
‘Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads and to the kids of dads, too,’ she ended the sweet note.
Garner and Affleck were married from 2005 until their separation in 2015, and their divorce was finalized in 2018.
They are sometimes seen running errands with their children, demonstrating their amicable co-parenting relationship.
And the friendly exes have been known to spend holidays together post-divorce.

During an appearance on Bustle’s One Nightstand podcast in February, Garner explained: ‘When your kids grow up in two separate households, I become mom and dad, and he becomes dad and mom.
‘You kind of can’t help it, right? Because you don’t have the benefit of both sides, the yin and yang being in the same house, so you have to have a bit of both in the way you parent.’
She added, ‘There’s a little bit of loss in that, but there’s also something gained in that…you also just learn. It’s made me let go and not focus so much on the bringing up.’
Affleck was married to Jennifer Lopez from 2022 to 2024, and recently surrendered his share of their marital mansion as they struggled to sell it.
Days ago Lopez enjoyed an Ariana Grande concert in LA with his child Fin and one of her twins, 18-year-old Oskar.
