According to sources who spoke with TMZ, Doherty was defending himself in the incident.
Doherty was previously arrested in Miami in November 2025 after he was caught with amphetamine and marijuana on him.
He was detained after being found in possession of a controlled substance and resisting an officer without violence to his person, according to records viewed by the Daily Mail.
Recreational marijuana is illegal in Florida, where he was found with less than 20g.
He was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami on a $3,500 bond, which he posted within 24 hours.
It is unclear what led up to his arrest, but he had been live streaming on the platform Parti the night before, and posted footage of himself on a yacht.
The YouTuber gained traction in 2017 for his prank and stunt videos.
In 2024, Doherty made headlines after crashing a $300,000 McLaren, leaving his friend covered in blood in a horrific accident that went viral.

He was live-streaming on Kick at the time of the crash, and was seen driving with one hand, glancing down at his phone as he drove at high speed in torrential rain before he lost control of the flashy vehicle.
The custom wrapped McLaren 570S skidded across the slick highway in Miami before hitting a metal roadside barrier, ripping off the bonnet and destroying the front portion of the car.
Doherty escaped unscathed but his friend Michael David, who was sitting in the passenger seat, had blood streaming down his face and was taken to a hospital.
Amid the disaster, Doherty handed David the camera and said: ‘Michael, here. Film on that phone too.’
Doherty was later banned from the platform Kick for violating safety guidelines.
