Julie Chen Moonves returned to host another live eviction of Big Brother Season 28 as the competition heats up in a divided house.
La Trice Verrett was the Head of Household (HOH) in Week 5 of the CBS competition and there was one clear target.
As HOH, La Trice put up three housemates for eviction: Haley Thogmartin, Barrett Pfeiffer and Chuk Anyanwu.
The Veto Competition came around which would give the opportunity to those involved to pull someone off the block or keep the nominations the same. Following the competition, it was Kamu Kirk who got the medallion and the power.
Despite some hope from Haley and Chuk for Kamu to use the POV on one of them, Kamu opted to keep nominations the same.
As a last resort, the three nominated housemates still had the BB Block Buster competition on eviction night. The winner of this competition takes themselves off the block and is granted another week in the house.

Who won safety in the BB Block Buster competition in Week 5?
Haley, Barrett, and Chuk entered the BB Block Buster competition, and after it, Haley was victorious and would be safe from the eviction.
How did the Big Brother Season 28 houseguests vote in Week 5?
Barrett and Chuk would now face eviction with each of the housemates entering the Diary Room to cast their votes to evict.
