How high will temps get in Los Angeles today? FOX Weather Meteorologist Jane Minar breaks down the latest forecast. This segment is sponsored by Kalshi.

LOS ANGELES – With the Western heat wave winding down, Los Angeles is seeing a return to cooler weather that could persist through the end of June.

The Southern California city regarded as the entertainment capital of the world that attracts the attention of the biggest stars Earth has to offer isn’t experiencing the extreme heat others in the West are grappling with.

While areas further inland like Fresno are facing temperatures in the high 90s, Los Angeles gets what FOX Weather Meteorologist Jane Minar called, “some reprieve” as temperatures fall in the City of Angels.

Los Angeles is experiencing cooler-than-average weather for late June, particularly along the coast, where persistent onshore flow is drawing cool marine air off the Pacific Ocean inland, the National Weather Service said.

The resulting low clouds and fog, commonly known as June Gloom, have kept daytime temperatures below the heat typically associated with Southern California summers.

CAN CONCERTS AND SPORTING EVENTS CAUSE EARTHQUAKES?

Forecast highs are expected to remain in the low to mid-70s today, especially in coastal and nearby neighborhoods.

With afternoon highs staying unusually mild, let’s take a look at how trading on prediction markets has evolved for today’s low temperature in Los Angeles.

Farther inland, temperatures are climbing into the 80s, but they remain below typical late-June levels.

The cooler-than-average conditions across Los Angeles follow several days of warmer, more humid weather in Southern California. According to the National Weather Service, the cooling trend is expected to persist through the weekend, with temperatures remaining below seasonal averages for late June.
