Two women sexually assaulted at busy train station during rush hour as cops release CCTV in manhunt

A MANHUNT has been launched after two women were sexually assaulted at a busy Tube station during rush hour.

Cops have released CCTV in connection with the attacks, which occurred at Wanstead Underground station in East London.

Cops have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to

Police said the horror unfolded at around 6.30am on February 11.

A man initially made sexual remarks towards a woman at the busy station, before sexually assaulting her, according to British Transport Police (BTP).

The force said he then went on to sexually assault another woman.

It has since released a CCTV image of a man officers wish to speak to following the attacks.

A woman, believed to have witnessed the assaults, has been urged to come forward by cops.

BTP said: “Officers would like to speak to the man pictured, as they believe he may have information that could help their investigation.

“They are also urging a woman who is believed to have witnessed the incidents, or anyone who saw what occurred, to come forward.

“Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 73 of 11 February.

“Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

Cops are also hunting for a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted on board a Victoria line service at around 10.30am on February 21.

A man assaulted the woman while standing behind her as the southbound tube neared Green Park.

British Transport Police have released CCTV of a man they wish to speak to.

It is believed he may have information that could help with the investigation.
