Titanic star Frances Fisher had a daughter with her Unforgiven costar Clint Eastwood… see her now at 74

Frances Fisher was one of the biggest movie stars of the 1990s.

Her most memorable role was as Kate Winslet‘s stern mother in the blockbuster 1997 film Titanic with Leonardo DiCaprio and Billy Zane.

Fisher’s early work was on soap operas as she starred as Detective Deborah Saxon on The Edge of Night from 1976 to 1981 and then was Suzette Saxon on Guiding Light in 1985.

In 1989 she appeared in the movie Pink Cadillac opposite Clint Eastwood, and the pair began an offscreen relationship. 

In 1992, Fisher had her break-out role in Unforgiven, an Academy Award-winning film directed by Eastwood. Together they share a daughter named Francesca.

The former Texas resident also worked with Pierce Brosnan on the 2004 romantic comedy Laws Of Attraction and with Jessica Chastain in the 2006 drama Jolene.

Fisher was recently seen at the Race To Erase MS Gala in Los Angeles where she looked youthful in a colorful gown. See her now at 74.

The thespian has had a very varied career.

After Titanic she starred in 1999’s True Crime (1999) then was in House of Sand and Fog (2003), Laws of Attraction (2004), The Kingdom (2007), In the Valley of Elah (2007) and Jolene (2008).

In 2011 she had a starring role in the drama The Lincoln Lawyer with Matthew McConaughey and Marisa Tomei about a charismatic defense attorney who does business out of his Lincoln Continental sedan.

And then was seen in 2013’s sci-fi romance The Host with Diane Kruger.

From 2014 to 2015, Fisher starred in the ABC drama series Resurrection.

In 2019, she starred in the HBO television series Watchmen, a sequel to the graphic novel of the same title.

And she has an accomplished theatrical career.

She became involved with the Actors Studio and has appeared in Arthur Miller’s last play, Finishing The Picture in Chicago and in a 2006 production of The Cherry Orchard in Los Angeles.

Her daughter with Clint is Francesca Eastwood who was born in Redding, California in August 1993.

Francesca has a thriving career of her own. 

The pinup is best known for her roles in films such as Jersey Boys, Final Girl, Outlaws and Angels, M.F.A., The Vault, and Old.

And the up-and-comer has been on a reality TV show: she starred with her family on the E! series Mrs. Eastwood & Company. 

Her partner is Alex Wraith and together they have two children.

Clint, now 96, got his start in the Western TV series Rawhide. 

And he was in the Westerns Hang ‘Em High (1968) and The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976).

He then played cop Harry Callahan in the five Dirty Harry films throughout the 1970s and 1980s. 

He also did comedy with Every Which Way But Loose (1978) and its action comedy sequel Any Which Way You Can (1980).

Eastwood was in the war film Where Eagles Dare (1968), the prison film Escape From Alcatraz (1979), the war film Heartbreak Ridge (1986), the action film In the Line of Fire (1993), and the romantic drama The Bridges Of Madison County (1995). 

More recent works include Gran Torino (2008), The Mule (2018), and Cry Macho (2021).

Eastwood’s accolades include four Academy Awards.

Eastwood’s longtime partner, Christina Sandera, died on July 18, 2024, at the age of 61. 

Her official cause of death was cardiac arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat) with atherosclerotic coronary artery disease listed as a contributing factor.

The couple had been together since 2014 after meeting at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. Following her passing, Eastwood released a brief statement mourning the loss, calling her a “lovely, caring woman”.
