The Chase viewers were confused after ITV aired a four-year-old repeat episode starring the late Len Goodman on Saturday night, three years after his death.
Len died in 2023 aged 78 after a short illness with bone cancer.
The episode, from 2021, saw the Strictly head judge captain a team that included TV presenter Nicki Chapman, Will Kirk, and comedian Joe Pasquale.
During the episode, he faced off against Chaser Darragh ‘The Menace’ Ennis in his head-to-head round.
Taking to X, viewers called it ‘a surreal’ episode, while others said they found it ‘disgraceful’, after an episode featuring The Vivienne, who passed away last year, aired on Friday night.
They wrote: ‘ITV repeating a five year old edition of Celebrity #TheChase. It features the late Len Goodman, surreal yet nice to see him. Always rated Len.’

The Vivienne – whose real name was James Lee Williams – competed alongside comedian Jayde Adams, music producer Naughty Boy, and former football star Tony Cottee in 2023.
Toxicology evidence found The Vivienne had an ‘acute overdose’ of ketamine, causing cardiac respiratory arrest, with the coroner recording a verdict of death by misadventure at the inquest.
