Sam Thompson and Pete Wicks have kickstarted their bid to become the kings of ITV, with a new documentary series in the vein of Olivia Attwood‘s hit surgery show.

The duo are set to team up for a three-part series exploring the extremes of male self improvement, which will air on ITV2 and ITVX.

Sam and Pete: Dying To Look Good will see the pair get up close and personal with the men willing to do almost anything in pursuit of eternal youth and aesthetic perfection.

As they observe just how far some will go to look better, feel stronger and cheat the clock, Sam and Pete will be witnessing life changing transformations – and even trying out some of the latest trends for themselves.

The show will offer a glimpse at the gruelling realities of the treatments and procedures men are willing to have, in an industry that’s exploded in recent years.

Sam & Pete: Dying to Look Good will explore trends including looksmaxxing, and the lengths many go to to achieve physical perfection, t-maxxing (testosterone boosting) and biohacking, an insight into the anti ageing obsessives who are determined to turn back the clock.

Olivia’s show The Price Of Perfection, which focuses on a similar topic, soared to number one on ITVX, and has already been commissioned for a fourth series.

The third series, which premiered last week, shined a light on celebrities and the procedures they are willing to undergo to maintain their appearance.

Sam and Pete are already co-hosts on their hit podcast Staying Relevant, but this will be the first time they will host an ITV show together.

The duo became close pals after meeting on Celebs Go Dating in 2017, and began hosting their podcast in 2022.

Pete also currently hosts his own U series For Dog’s Sake, while Sam is set to front the ITV spin-off I’m A Celebrity: Unpacked later this year.

Pete, who hard-launched his relationship with Olivia last month, is currently in Thailand for three weeks to film a one-off special for For Dog’s Sake.

Speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, he explained: ‘I am off to Thailand. I am going to film a documentary For Dog’s Sake.

‘It’s brand new, we are taking it on the road or on the plane however you want to look at it. So, I’m going to be over there for three weeks.

‘It’s going to be heavy. For some of it I will be staying in a jungle with no electricity, no running water and sleeping in a hammock in the trees. Which for me, no reception, no signal, I f***ing love.’

The former Love Island star began dating her longtime pal earlier this year after it was revealed she and Bradley Dack had ended their marriage over claims he was unfaithful.

Olivia and Pete only confirmed their romance last month, and the star admitted recently that she was told by pals she should ‘stay single’ after she and Bradley split.

Speaking about her romance with Pete, Olivia said: ‘It was unexpected, we went from platonic to non-platonic very quickly.

‘He’s extremely intelligent and compassionate and patient, all the things I desperately needed but didn’t know I needed.’

She went on to tell The Times: ‘Is something amazing happening while I’m still processing something awful? Yes. People are telling me to be single, to go on dates. But if I shut things down with Pete I’d only be dating people to find the connection I have with him.’

Olivia also confessed she has considered the prospect of starting a family ‘with the right person’, but has come to terms with the idea that she may not have children.

She said: ‘I could also see it not being part of my story. I’m at peace with that. You can’t have everything. So many parts of my life have worked out so much better than I could ever imagine.’
