On a like-for-like basis excluding China, this opening weekend result is on par with INTERSTELLAR and DUNE. This marks only the fourth non-sequel/non-franchise film to open above $50M internationally post-COVID alongside Oppenheimer, F1: The Movie, and Superman.
The movie opened at #1 in 60+ markets including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, and Japan.
