Nicola Peltz offered a glimpse at her husband Brooklyn’s close bond with his father-in-law Nelson as they enjoyed a shopping trip at a farmer’s market.

Brooklyn, 27, recently snubbed his parents’ attempts at an olive branch, after they included him in social media posts in honour of his dad David on Father’s Day.

In contrast, Brooklyn paid tribute to his father-in-law Nelson on his birthday this week, in yet another dig at his family.

In a video on her Instagram, Nicola joined her parents to stock up on fresh produce, with part of it showing Nelson and Brooklyn messing around in the aisles.

The clip then showed Brooklyn and Nelson strolling off to peruse products together, with Nicola captioning the post: ‘They left us.’

Brooklyn took yet another swipe at his estranged father by sharing a gushing post for his father-in-law Nelson on Wednesday.

Nelson Peltz, the billionaire dad of Brooklyn’s wife Nicola, celebrated his 84th birthday this week, and was showered with loving posts from his daughter.

Brooklyn soon followed suit, sharing a photo of himself with his arm around Nelson at a family party and writing: ‘Happy birthday Nelson x I love u so much.’

‘I’m so happy I could celebrate you today! Thank you for being the best father in law,’ he added alongside heart emojis.

Brooklyn also appeared in Nicola’s many posts dedicated to her dad, sporting matching cowboy hats with his wife’s family as they celebrated in Florida.

The actress shared a gushing post on her Instagram page which included photos of the Peltz brood enjoying a birthday meal together at their family home.

One group photo included Nelson with five of his sons, Nicola and Brooklyn as they gathered around the patriarch of the family on his big day.

Brooklyn stood on the edge of the shot next to Nicola’s brother Zach, while Diesel, Will, Bradley and Greg were also in attendance at the event.

The sweet family photos will likely sting Brooklyn’s estranged family, whom he has now not spoken to in more than a year.

Brooklyn has not acknowledged any of his parents’ birthdays or milestones publicly since their rift began, around the time of David’s 50th celebrations, and failed to share a post for Father’s Day last week.

Should Brooklyn publicly reconnect with his parents or keep embracing Nicola’s family instead?

Earlier this week it was reported that Brooklyn was ‘furious’ that his parents had included him in a Father’s Day post and wants them to ‘leave him alone.’

Nicola then appeared to take a ‘swipe’ at the Beckham family in a cryptic Instagram post where she shared a quote about ‘forgiving yourself’.

The quote reads: ‘I am in love with this sentence: “Forgive yourself for not knowing earlier what only time could teach”.’

David had extended an olive branch to his eldest son over the weekend as he shared an old photograph of himself and Brooklyn alongside one of himself with all four of his kids.

The caption said: ‘Being a dad is my most important job – I love you all and thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads around the world’.

Victoria also included their son Brooklyn in her heartfelt Father’s Day post to her husband on Sunday.

And, while Brooklyn has publicly remained silent, behind the scenes he is reportedly ‘fuming’.

A source revealed: ‘He’s fuming about it. He’s asked them to leave him alone and they just keep posting him.’

They told The Sun: ‘It just brings the whole thing up all over again. He wishes they’d leave it and leave him alone.’

Shortly before Christmas last year, Brooklyn blocked his parents on Instagram, while his lawyers later wrote to the Beckhams’ team requesting all communication be conducted through legal representatives.

The Daily Mail contacted Brooklyn’s representatives for comment at the time.

Last week Brooklyn was accused of selling his family out for a big sum following the release of his two-part DoorDash commercial.

Five months after declaring that he and his wife Nicola want privacy, Brooklyn was savaged by fans, who branded him ‘classless’ after he collaborated with the food delivery firm for the sponsored video.

It was reported that Brooklyn was paid a hefty figure for the ad, with a source saying: ‘Anything that makes him money is good – it shows that his brand is there and flourishing.’

It’s thought that he was paid ‘at least $1million (£755,000)’ for the campaign.

However, the Beckham clan were reportedly less impressed with the advert, with an insider telling Page Six: ‘Brooklyn claims he wants peace and privacy and nothing to do with his family – now he’s trying to cash in on it all.’

In the teaser clip for the advert released on June 15, Brooklyn smirks and says: ‘You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home… It’s a long story.’

It has been taken as mocking parents David and Victoria with whom he no longer speaks – and profiting off their name, while friends of the Beckhams have said the pair are ‘devastated and inconsolable’ by the jibe.

The second longer version was released on Wednesday, sparking even fiercer backlash from even the most supportive Brooklyn fans, with followers commenting in their droves under the Instagram clip.

Friends of the Beckhams were shocked to see Brooklyn’s advert.

One told the Daily Mail’s Katie Hind: ‘To do an advert based on estrangement from family as if it’s a joke when his family is devastated and sister and grandparents inconsolable is shocking.

‘Especially from someone who claims he wants peace and privacy.’

In January, Brooklyn released a scathing six-page statement (below) denouncing his parents.

He announced he had cut ties with his family – declaring he was no longer part of ‘Brand Beckham’ and insisting his parents and their other children are ‘performative’.

Brooklyn also claimed David and Victoria had controlled him for much of his life, attempted to drive a wedge between him and Nicola and left him embarrassed when his mother danced ‘inappropriately’ with him during the first dance at his wedding.
