Neighbours star Scarlet Vas has walked back claims that her husband Tayo Ricci is her ‘stepbrother’, just days after announcing she is pregnant with their second child.
The couple previously told fans that they are stepsiblings in interviews and video skits, but they have now said the claim is false in a clip shared to Instagram.
‘I am so sorry to admit this, but we are not stepsiblings. I honestly have no idea where this even originated from,’ Vas, 31, said on Thursday in a TMZ clip.
‘Well, we did do that one skit,’ Ricci, 29, joked, before a clip then played of the pair pretending to be stepsiblings as they kissed. ‘That explains it.’
‘Our parents have never dated. Tayo’s parents have been together for 40 years and my parents over 20 years,’ Vas continued.
‘So to all the major media companies that keep headlining “stepsiblings are having another baby”, we would like to formally ask you to please stop,’ Ricci added.

‘And we are not stepsiblings.’
It comes after Vas announced she’s expecting her second child with Ricci, three years after they tied the knot.
The couple shared the happy news in a sweet Instagram post last Wednesday, where Vas debuted her growing baby bump.
Vas and Ricci met as teenagers in Melbourne and later tied the knot in 2023.
Vas’s video showed herself and Ricci walking together with their daughter Silva, 19 months, before revealing the ultrasound snaps of their new arrival.
Sharing the baby news with their followers, Vas captioned her post: ‘We couldn’t keep this a secret any longer…’
Vas and Ricci married on the Greek island of Mykonos, with the brunette beauty wearing a strapless layered wedding gown with a high slit.
However, she revealed to news.com.au that the weather left guests thinking she was ‘naked’.

‘It was a dress that had lots of layers but it was not sheer, you definitely couldn’t see underneath,’ she told news.com.au.
Scarlet explained the weather was so windy that when she walked down the aisle ‘my veil flew off and the dress split open and revealed my underwear’.
‘Everyone thought I had “gone naked” to my wedding, but it was just the wind which had blown up all the layers, so it looked like I was wearing nothing at the bottom,’ she said.
In September, they shared their first pregnancy news with a sweet Instagram video showing the moment they received a positive test.
The couple also shared ultrasound scans where they heard their baby’s heartbeat and later revealed they were due to welcome a baby girl.

Vas is best known for starring as policewoman Mishti Sharma on Neighbours from 2017 to 2018. She’s since become a successful OnlyFans model.
She recently revealed she’s now earning a fortune by sharing sexy snaps with Ricci on the adult online subscription service.
‘I’m in the 0.01%, like the lowest you can go on OF. But every month’s been getting better,’ she told the Uncensored Podcast.
‘Like last month was my best month. I hit almost $200k and then this month I’m going to do well over $200k.
