The FOX Forecast Center is closely monitoring Tropical Storms Iselle, Julio, and Lala—alongside three other disturbances across the Pacific Basin.

While Lala continues churning in the open waters, Iselle moves west and Julio is expected to be absorbed by its neighbor, with forecasters also keeping a close eye on the remaining three disturbances as they develop.
Tropical Storms Iselle and Julio churn in active Eastern Pacific
According to the FOX Forecast Center, Tropical Storm Iselle has become much better organized, but the window for further organization is closing fast. The storm is likely peaking in strength now—just below hurricane strength—with hostile conditions soon to take over.

Iselle is forecast to turn west-northwestward and is expected to maintain that track through the rest of the week.
Although tracking safely offshore, the system is expected to bring rough surf and high rip currents to the Baja California Peninsula.

Additionally, Tropical Storm Julio formed in the Eastern Pacific on Tuesday morning.
Models indicate that Julio is expected to strengthen slightly before being absorbed by Iselle, the FOX Forecast Center said.
Three other Areas To Watch in the Eastern Pacific
The FOX Forecast Center is also monitoring three other Areas To Watch in the Eastern Pacific, with all having some potential to develop over the coming days.
A disturbance far south of Mexico has a high chance of development, with a tropical depression expected to form by the end of the week as it moves west-northwest well offshore.

Additionally, a trough located well east-southeast of Hawaii is expected to organize, carrying a medium chance of tropical depression formation as it drifts north-northeast.
Meanwhile, another low-pressure area could form late this week or weekend off Central America, offering a medium chance for gradual development while staying well offshore of southern Mexico.
None of these three developing systems pose a threat to land at this time.
