Miley Cyrus stripped down to just her lingerie in the newly released music video for her catchy new single, Bass Persuades.
On Thursday evening, the singer-songwriter, 33, dropped a raunchy video to accompany the new single off of her upcoming album of the same name.
The scantily clad star promenaded through a dimly lit dive bar before taking to the streets with a group of fellow party people to dance the night away. In front of a group of backup dancers, Cyrus danced underneath the moonlight and neon lights.
In the lyrics of her new song, she urged her younger fans to put away their phones and get on the dance floor as she declared that ‘the kids don’t want to dance’ and tried to convince them to ‘surrender to the night.’
Her 80s-inspired track features lyrics expressing a yearning for an analog era of decades past, highlighting how many are ‘glued’ to their screens and distracted from life outside of their phones.
The release follows on the heels of the star promising she would write a song in honor of her late godmother, Dolly Parton, when she paid tribute to the beloved music legend following her death last week.

Her 10th studio album, also called Bass Persuades, is set to be released later this month on September 18.
Alongside the news of her forthcoming album and a set of Hollywood Bowl shows to follow, the Grammy winner released the short video after rebranding her pop star persona and dropping her surname to go by just ‘Miley’ professionally.
Her new jingle was nostalgic and reminiscent of some of the greatest hits from fellow pop icons like Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and Madonna.
The video began with a shot of Cyrus sauntering into view, wearing a revealing outfit to show off her toned physique as she enjoyed a night out with fellow dancers.
She wore a black bralette paired with high-waisted, matching slacks and accessorized with a leather, paper boy cap and gloves.
She later sheds the accessories, nixes the trousers altogether in lieu of high-waisted micro shorts paired with sheer tights and pumps.
She danced in an empty room and plain background alongside shirtless backup dancers.
At other points in the music video, she was seen throwing a leather jacket over her lingerie-inspired look as she strutted down the street in a bustling town and rode in a car with the top down and the breeze in her hair.
For the opening of her music video, she wore a black bralette paired with high-waisted, matching slacks and accessorized with a leather, paper boy cap and gloves

This comes after the father-daughter duo reconciled their relationship after a brief estrangement amid an ongoing family feud between the patriarch and some of the Hannah Montana actress’ siblings.
He shared his thoughts about the change in a lengthy Instagram post shared on Thursday.
He posted a photo of just two of his kids, Miley and his 32-year-old son Braison Cyrus, both of whom he shares with his ex-wife Tish Cyrus.
‘Family means more than ever now. I always called my little girl Miley. Just … Miley. Just like I always called my little boy Braison,’ the country crooner began before revealing that he had a talk with his daughter recently about her dropping her surname.
‘I told Miley yesterday I felt good about her going with her first name,’ he said before referencing the late and beloved legend Dolly Parton.
‘I mentioned Dolly and Cher. Thinkin about it more and more … Elvis … Prince … and so on,’ he wrote.
Becoming known by a singular name, he said, is ‘a natural progression for an iconic superstar legend. And the legend continues! Looking forward to the new album.’

In his caption, he also noted that he also once went by just one name before becoming known for his three-name moniker.
‘Bet you didn’t know … I was just CYRUS before Achy Breaky Heart came out in [1992]. All of my swag and T-shirts only read CYRUS SOME GAVE ALL with a picture of a POW MIA [prisoner of war missing in action] flag on it, that and the words … “You are not forgotten.”‘
He concluded his post by mentioning his own name change again: ‘Now … if only Mercury/Polygram would have just not insisted on the “Billy Ray” part and just let me be CYRUS…… I could have done something!!! Ha ha!!! All good.’
The pop star, who now goes by just ‘Miley,’ will soon be dropping her new album, Bass Persuades, on September 18.
The following month, she will be performing two shows at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 16 and October 18 alongside special guest MODEL/ACTRIZ.
Her upcoming concerts mark her return to the stage since her last major performance at the Corona Capital music festival in Mexico City in 2022.
