She’s previously sought the services of a former royal hairstylist, so it’s no surprise that Michelle Keegan took inspiration from Kate Middleton once again, as she debuted her new bronde look on Thursday.

The former Coronation Street star, 39, was a guest on The One Show to promote her role in the ITV thriller The Blame.

In a series of snaps posted on Instagram, Michelle showed off her new bronde hairstyle as she posed backstage.

The Brassic star was joined by her co-star Douglas Booth to discuss their roles in the dark police drama, which kicks off on September 20.

Michelle shared that she sought advice from her father when she got the part, as he spent years working in the police force.

She said: ‘My dad was always quite private about his job, and even now I don’t know that many experiences that he went through being in the police force.

‘But I remember going in his drawers and seeing his police badge and his shoes always polished, he took his job very seriously.

‘But I went to him, I spoke to him about this part and he told me about the different ranks of the police force, and how your body language would change when someone walks in a room, and I think he’s very proud actually that I’m playing this role.’

Michelle has previously taken style inspiration from The Princess Of Wales with an array of different outfits, and even said she’d love to play her in a film about the Royal Family.

She told Closer Magazine in 2016: ‘I’d love to play her. She’s really just a normal girl at heart – well, not any more, she gave birth to the future king.

‘That film’s got to be made soon, surely? But I would need to get my accent sorted!’

In October, Michelle also unveiled her most recent hair transformation after enlisting the services of former royal hairdresser Richard Ward.

While Michelle has been busy promoting her role in The Blame, and filming her part in Harlan Coben’s new thriller The Woods, the star has reportedly sought to prioritise motherhood in the coming months by dropping out of another ITV drama.

The hard-working star is said to have stepped back amid fears of being away from home too much.

The star was due to play a working-class barrister in the series, but withdrew just a few months before filming was due to begin. She has been replaced by Jodie Whittaker.

Insiders described the decision as a ‘huge blow’ because Michelle had committed to the project a few months ago and a filming date had been agreed, but she dropped out before signing a contract.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: ‘Michelle was really keen to take on the meaty role, but the heavy filming schedule would take her away from daughter Palma for too long.

‘The hours were quite intense and the project was starting straight after her Netflix drama The Woods and she just couldn’t commit.

‘She is dedicated to her acting career, but like all working mums has to prioritise being there for her family, juggling work, parenting and being present for Palma.’

The Brassic star recently admitted it was ‘daunting’ returning to work for the first time after having Palma.

Speaking about drama series The Blame, she said earlier this year: ‘Coming back to work after having a baby is quite daunting.

‘But the production were so supportive and I was so looked after and it was like working with family.’
