Karl Stefanovic‘s latest media venture has come to an abrupt end, with ARN dropping the television presenter from the radio show he co-hosted alongside Eddie McGuire.

The former Today show co-host, who recently embarked on a new chapter in podcasting, had appeared on just two episodes of The Long Weekend before becoming embroiled in controversy.

The new three-hour Friday show, broadcast across ARN’s Gold radio network, came under scrutiny following Stefanovic’s interview with British far-right commentator Tommy Robinson on his own podcast, The Karl Stefanovic Show.

According to AFR, sources revealed the network made the decision to end their relationship this week.

Stefanovic’s contract was worth approximately $200,000 for the rest of the year.

McGuire will reportedly continue to host the radio show without him.

Stefanovic, who is holidaying somewhere in Europe, has not commented on the reports.

The domain names appear to point to a potential partnership between Sandilands and Stefanovic quietly taking shape behind the scenes.

The IP addresses for kyleandkarl.com.au and karlandkyle.com.au were registered to Sandilands’ company, King Kyle Group Pty Ltd.

In 2024, King Kyle also registered themorningmen.com.au and morningmen.com.au – another hint at a potential collaboration with Stefanovic.

‘It is something they’ve been talking about for a while,’ a source close to the duo told The Daily Telegraph.

Sandilands – who recently settled with his former employer ARN for $12m – has apparently been keeping in close contact with Stefanovic since his departure from Nine last week.

Stefanovic abruptly resigned from the network on Friday amid the fallout from his podcast interview with Robinson.

He had uploaded the interview to YouTube on Tuesday, only for him to delete it hours later following widespread backlash.

The television star, who was on two weeks’ leave in London, was told the network ‘wanted to part ways‘ soon after.

In a statement to The Daily Mail, Channel Nine said that Stefanovic could not continue working at the network while also hosting his podcast.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to ARN, Stefanovic and Sandilands for comment.
