Janet Jackson made a rare sighting when at the Recording Academy and Grammy Museum’s 2026 Grammy Hall Of Fame Gala last week.
This is the first time the 59-year-old sister of the late singer Michael Jackson has been seen in seven months.
And it is the first time she has been spotted since refusing to be portrayed in the new Michael movie, even though many of her siblings – like older sister La Toya Jackson and nephew Jaafar Jackson – were involved.
The Grammy winner appeared very youthful when wearing a charcoal gray suit and white shirt on the red carpet at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Fans could not believe how great she looks just days before her milestone 60th birthday which falls on May 16. ‘Not sure how Janet does it, but she looks half her age,’ wrote one person on X. Another chimed in: ‘She must be full of Botox or had a visit to her plastic surgeon because she does not have one wrinkle on her face.’
Another noted how happy she looks: ‘There is a sparkle in her eye like she is living her best life.’

The music superstar is nowhere to be seen as a character in the new Antoine Fuqua-directed biopic called Michael.
La Toya Jackson confirmed at the film’s premiere that Janet was asked to be included but ‘kindly declined’.
Michael is portrayed by their nephew Jaafar Jackson with Joe Jackson played by Colman Domingo and Nia Long playing Katherine Jackson.
La Toya is portrayed by Jessica Sula and Juliano Valdi plays the role of younger Michael.
Fuqua said it was ‘very important’ for him to have the Jackson family involved with the movie even if Janet did not agree to be represented.
‘You’re telling somebody’s life, you want to make sure that they’re happy,’ he said.
Not only does Michael’s estate have a financial investment in the project, but his son, Prince Jackson, serves as an executive producer. His other children Bigi and Paris are not involved.

Janet was last seen in October at the Dancers Against Cancer’s 2025 Gala Of The Stars.
At that event, she also looked young as she wore her hair with highlights down around her face. And she was slender in a silky black mini dress with high heels.
The singer shocked the world in October 2016 when she announced that she was pregnant with her first child at the age of 50. The father was her husband at the time, Wissam Al Mana, now 51.
She told fans: ‘I thought it was important that you be the first to know. My husband and I are planning our family, so I’m going to have to delay the tour.
‘Please, if you could try and understand that it’s important that I do this now. I have to rest up, doctor’s orders. But I have not forgotten about you. I will continue the tour as soon as I possibly can.’

In January 2017, she welcomed her son, but soon after she announced her split from billionaire El Mana.
Rumors began to swirl of troubles just days after Janet gave birth when she appeared in public without her wedding ring.
It was the third union for Janet, who was briefly married to singer James DeBarge in 1984 and then married Mexican back-up dancer Rene Elizondo in 1991 before splitting in 2000.
No one ever knew the pair were even married, and Janet ended up handing over a reported $10million in the divorce settlement.
She became incredibly private and withdrawn when with the Qatari native, leading many to speculate that she may have converted to Islam.
The rumors were further fueled by her choice of attire over the past few years, covering her entire body and her head at almost all times. Janet never confirmed nor denied these reports.
