How many rockets will SpaceX launch this month?

NASA plans on launching the newest and most advanced version of SpaceX Starship, marking the first time we see the upgraded rocket. Former NASA astronaut and President of Leading Edge Enterprises, Charles Camarda, joins FOX Weather to discuss the mission and the newest technology NASA is using during the flight.

It has been a busy month of activity in space so far this August, with the recent crashing of a SpaceX rocket’s upper stage into the moon, along with more launches on the way.

As the race against time to establish a base on the moon and, more broadly, a presence on Mars continues, SpaceX is scheduling additional rocket launches this month.

Over the course of nearly three weeks, SpaceX will conduct four Falcon 9 launches, targeting the launch of 24 Starlink satellites into Earth’s low orbit.

SpaceX Starlink launches are subject to many U.S. government regulations, like all satellite launches from American soil.

This comes as the company has already launched two rockets and is planning to launch six by the end of the month.

The Falcon 9 rocket is a unique, reusable two-stage rocket designed for reliable, safe transport of people and supplies to Earth orbit and beyond.

Starting on Aug. 8, it will be the 16th flight for the first stage booster, which previously launched on three other Starlink missions.

In light of upcoming launches, prediction markets at Kalshi are expecting a 98% chance of more than 10 launches before the end of the month.

It is also worth noting that Kalshi experts are predicting a 93% chance of over 11 launches.

Be sure to check back to FOX Weather or the SpaceX website for the latest updates and information with regard to future rocket launches.
