Harry Styles is said to be keen on starting a family with girlfriend Zoë Kravitz, just days after a reported engagement and eight months into a whirlwind romance with the actress.
The enigmatic singer suggested he too is in love with American Girls – or rather one in particular – after Kravitz, 37, was pictured brandishing an enormous diamond ring on her wedding finger during a recent appearance in Hampstead, where Styles owns a £30million home.
And friends claim he is now keen to take their rapidly developing relationship to the next level by having a child, making him the fourth former member of One Direction to become a father after bandmates Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and the late Liam Payne.
A source told Page Six: ‘He really wants a baby, he’s been telling his friends that.’
Styles, 32, previously discussed his role as an uncle after older sister Gemma welcomed a daughter with her partner Michal Mlynowski in 2024, midway through his self imposed hiatus from music.
He told The Times: ‘My sister had a baby, and at any other time in my life, I would have missed a lot of that.

‘To be there, to get to know my niece as she’s growing up, it’s so obvious to me what’s real. It was really obvious that was where I wanted to be.’
Adult responsibility appears to be a dominant theme on Styles’ hit single American Girls, the second track to be released from his fourth album, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally.
Written after watching those closest to him settle into committed relationships, the song features the chorus: ‘I’ve known you for ages, It’s all that I’ve heard, My friends are in love with American girls, I’ve seen it in stages all over the world, My friends are in love with American girls.’
‘He would jump off a cliff for her,’ a separate insider told Page Six of Styles’ devotion to Kravitz.
Meanwhile, the American actress is said to be ‘on cloud nine’ after a reported engagement to Styles, with the source claiming ‘no one in their circle is surprised’ about the sudden development.
The pair recently fueled rumors of an engagement after Kravitz was pictured flashing a large diamond ring during an appearance with the singer in north-west London.
Kravitz wore the same ring on her left hand in December 2025, sparking speculation they had taken their relationship to the next level.
Despite their best attempts to keep the relationship out of the spotlight, the couple have since been observed on a number of date nights from London and Rome to Brooklyn.
Styles recently said he had to have a ‘real, honest conversation’ with himself as to where he saw himself in five years after watching three of his closest friends get married.
This marks Styles’s first engagement. Kravitz was previously married to actor Karl Glusman, 38. The pair wed in 2019 before divorcing in 2021.
She was also engaged to actor Channing Tatum, 45, but they split in October 2024 after three years together.
The singer spoke about the ‘loneliness’ of fame and how he took a three-year hiatus from music to establish what he really wanted in life.
In an interview on Apple Music’s The Zane Lowe Show, Styles revealed he wants to get married and start a family.
He said: ‘I stop everything, then I get to decide what I want to bring back in. Like what are really the things that I want in my life?
‘If you’re like touring all the time and you’re doing this all the time and all these things, there’s no space to really choose.
‘I think I had a real honest conversation with myself about, okay, in five years, what do I want my life to look like? And then how do I make changes to aim at that? I don’t want to be the guy who’s on his own but was like, oh, I really did it.
‘I want to be fulfilled and I want to be in great relationships with people. I want to have great friendships with people. I want a family. I want these things. It just allowed me to go like, okay, what do I have to do to create space to allow these things to happen? I can’t just expect them to just happen to me.’
