Comedian Eugene Mirman is on the mend.

After a scary car crash in New Hampshire on Tuesday that saw his 2026 Lucid Gravity catch fire, Mirman took to his socials to assure fans that he’s “doing relatively alright, all things considered.”

Posting a photo of himself with a bandaged right arm and possible black eye on his left side — holding a piece of gift-shop style art that reads,”“Life is an Adventure” — Mirman wrote, “Hello everyone! Thank you so much for all the well wishes, love and kind messages from friends and strangers. I am extraordinarily thankful to the heroic people that pulled me from the car and to the warm, kind and talented staff at the hospital that cared for me and got me on the mend! I am thankful beyond words to be here and doing relatively alright, all things considered.”

Mirman continued, “I don’t have my phone, so haven’t been online much. I do not recommend my method of decreasing screen-time. If you’re a friend who sent a kind, loving message, you should know that it was hard to not respond with, “I’d love to be on your podcast.” I love you all and please take care of yourselves, Eugene.”

Mirman was reportedly hospitalized with serious injuries after crashing his vehicle into the Bedford Toll Plaza on the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Bedford, New Hampshire, shortly before noon on Tuesday. New Hampshire Gov. Kelly Ayotte and a veteran state trooper assigned to her detail were among the bystanders who pulled Mirman to safety through the car’s window after it caught fire with him trapped inside.

At time of reporting, no charges have been filed in the case.

Known to many for voicing Gene Belcher in Fox’s adult animated sitcom Bob’s Burgers, and for his work in HBO’s Flight of the Conchords, Mirman released his latest stand-up special, Here Comes the Whimsy, on the streaming platform Veeps on February 5.
