EXCLUSIVE: Concourse Media has acquired worldwide rights to the ensemble feature Maybe We Should and will present the completed film to buyers at the upcoming Cannes Film Market.

The film stars Heather Graham (Boogie Nights), Jeremy John Wells (Oppenheimer), Lil Rel Howery (Get Out), Kevin Nealon (Saturday Night Live), Matt Walsh (Veep), and Bonnie Bedelia (Die Hard).

A.J. Tesler (Hero Mode) directed the feature from a screenplay by Jeremy John Well. The official synopsis reads: “Based on Louie Castriota’s memoir Leg Up: The Courage to Dream, Maybe We Should tells the true story of Laurie and Louie Castriota, a couple who defy long odds to create a pioneering therapy center for children with special needs in rural Pennsylvania in the early 2000’s. As they navigate financial strain, personal setbacks, and skepticism from those around them, their journey becomes a testament to resilience, compassion, and the transformative power of community.”

Producers on the film include Vertero Films’ Wells (Adventure in Wonder), Artimage Entertainment’s Carl Effenson (Mudbound), and Autumn Bailey-Ford (On a Wing and a Prayer), and Vertero Films’ Isaiah Wakeham (Adventure in Wonder). Ken Aguado is the screenwriter.

“Maybe We Should is a deeply moving and uplifting story about the heroism that lives in all of us,” Concourse’s President of Sales, Jack Sheehan, said in a statement. “We at Concourse are proud of stories like this and grateful for the opportunity to place them in front of audiences around the world.”

Concourse’s Cannes slate also includes psychological thriller Sender, starring Britt Lower, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Rhea Seehorn, as well as the heist thriller The Smack, starring Casey Affleck, Sam Rockwell, Marisa Tomei, and Kathy Bates.
