Claudia Winkleman is reportedly in talks to move to ITV to front a revival of Hell’s Kitchen.

The presenter, 54, is one of the BBC‘s biggest stars thanks to her two decades with Strictly and her hugely successful run presiding over The Traitors, the one blip being her one-season only chat show.

ITV are now hoping to snap up Claudia to front their planned reboot of cookery competition Hell’s Kitchen.

Claudia originally presented the show in its fourth series in 2009,  which is the last time she presented for ITV.

Hell’s Kitchen UK ran for four series from 2004 to 2009 – with Claudia taking over from Angus Deayton after series three.

The show’s creator Gordan Ramsay was head chef for the first series before heading to US to launch the brand there, leaving Gary Rhodes, Jean-Christophe Novelli and Marco Pierre White to take over the role.

Insiders have revealed that whilst the revival is in the early days of developement ‘Claudia is top of the producers’ hit list to present,’ and they have been in talks with her since earlier this summer.

They’re so keen to get her on board that ‘bosses are willing to move things about to fit in with her diary,’ the source added to The Sun.

Hell’s Kitchen has been a huge success for Ramsay, broadcasting to 100 countries worldwide.

The US version has proved particualrly popular, airing 24 seasons with Ramsay at the helm for each.

Ramsay first teased his plans to bring the show back to home soil in June.

If the chef was involved in the reboot, it would mark the first time he and Claudia have appeared on the show together.

Claudia would have to juggle Hell’s Kitchen with her other TV commitments, which include The Traitors and its celebrity spin-off and her Channel 4 hit The Piano.

In July the star announced she was stepping away from her heavily publicised BBC chat show after just one series.

Despite healthy ratings, she told the Daily Mail’s Alison Boshoff that had turned down the Beeb’s offer of a second series.

‘Sometimes you have to try something to see how it fits, and I realised I was just too nervous to enjoy it,’ she admitted.

‘Maybe one day I will give it another try, but for now I already have the best jobs in the world and absolutely love the shows I’m doing.’

She added: ‘I’m incredibly grateful to the BBC for giving me the opportunity, to the guests who agreed to come and chat to me, and the production team who were simply excellent.’
