California Karen Accuses Father of Trafficking His Mixed-Race Daughter — Then Police Uncover a Dark Trail Behind Her Outburst

A California father recorded an incident of racial harassment by a Karen after the woman accused him of “child trafficking” and told him to “burn in hell.”

According to the video, the incident happened on Sept. 8 in San Jose. The man, who goes by yosemiteshyam on TikTok, identified himself as brown-skinned in the caption and said he was walking with his mixed-race daughter in the Almaden Valley neighborhood when the woman approached.

In the video’s caption, he wrote: “Before I started this recording, she tried to approach my 6-year-old, asked me if I was ‘buying or selling,’ and questioned whether I was ‘legal’ in this country.”

Yelling through the passenger-side window, the woman claimed to work with the federal government and said she was recording the pair.

“I’m recording you too, I work with the feds,” she said in the video. “I’m just making sure that you’re not sex trafficking this poor little girl who’s very unhappy to be with you and doesn’t look like you.”

She rambled on, claiming she had facial recognition technology and accusing him of sex trafficking: “That’s a white little girl and you are a man of color. So, I believe you are either buying or selling or trafficking this child.”

Before driving off, she circled back one more time and quoted a Bible verse and in the same breath, told the father to “burn in hell.”

“Psalm 101:8. My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked and free the city of God from their grip,” she said, adding the chilling words: “Burn in hell, you will.”

The father said this wasn’t the first time he’d faced this kind of harassment, but this time he called San Jose police.

The woman, identified as Lindsay Hansen, was arrested on Sept. 10. She is behind bars on suspicion of stalking, hate crimes and in connection with other charges, according to NBC Bay Area.

Officials say Hansen is responsible for other incidents in the area, including at a high school. She is also accused of harassing other community members, including recording videos and posting them on social media.

Many commenters pointed out a separate issue: falsely claiming to work for the federal government is a federal felony, punishable by up to three years in prison, a steep fine, or both.

Commenters didn’t hesitate to call it as they saw it. “Talking about sex trafficking a child and then discussing the tone of her skin is WILD in front of a 6-year-old. I am so sorry. This is hate speech for sure,” one person wrote.

Others pushed back on the woman’s use of scripture. As one commenter put it, “I think the Bible said even the devil can recite scriptures. But he doesn’t apply it right. A real Christian would never rejoice at someone burning in hell also. Shame on her.”
