An Australian adult content star has revealed that some of her customers are on government benefits – and still spend thousands of dollars on customised requests.
Taila Maddison, who provides custom content for her fans and has 67,000 Instagram followers, told Daily Mail that several of her customers are Centrelink recipients.
‘Two of my customers are on Centrelink. They will say to me, “Oh, I can’t unlock content this week… I am waiting for my pension.” Sometimes the request will be every two weeks, but one is in a wheelchair, living on government payments,’ Taila began.
The Gold Coast-based influencer added that one of her welfare customers had spent a jaw-dropping sum on custom content.
‘Over the years he has spent $8,500 on me. I honestly think it’s great that he’s using that money for something that brings him joy,’ Taila said.
‘I love that I can provide this connection for him… I love our relationship.’

People on the Centrelink Disability Support Pension receive payments of up to $1,200 per fortnight – which equates to just over $31,000 a year – meaning the customer is spending a significant portion of his income on requests.
Taila then addressed potential concerns about her ‘taking advantage’ of vulnerable people – insisting the truth was not so clear-cut.
‘At the end of the day, I never force anyone to unlock anything. They are coming to me asking for specific content and willing to pay. Sometimes they say, “I can’t right now, will save up for a few weeks”‘, she explained.
‘I can see how other stars would go, “Oh, these guys have this much money coming in from the government each week, I know what day they get paid!” but most of the time they are coming to me!’
Taila then said that she had spent so much time chatting to these customers that she had developed a genuine connection with them.
‘I know them as people at this point. It is definitely not just sexy and kinky. I know what they like in sex and kinks, but I am also going to ask them how their day was,’ she said.
She added that she was able to use her six-figure earnings to fund her lavish lifestyle, which included trips around the world, stays at five-star hotels and the latest, top-of-the-line beauty products.
Meanwhile, the welfare recipient known only as ‘Vaugn’ said he was happy to spend his meagre income on customised requests, because Taila made him feel special.
She said that she thinks it is an acceptable way for them to spend their payments
‘She makes sure to go above and beyond… and includes things other creators might not,’ he said.
Vaugn added he loved spending his money on Taila because she excelled when it came to granting his unusual requests.
‘Something as simple as an eating video can feel like a FaceTime call with an old friend… she refers back to conversations we had months ago,’ he said.
‘The fact she remembers those little details is something no other creator on the platform has done.’
Taila acknowledged that everyone has their own vices, adding that she believes her service provided more positive benefits than things such as gambling.
‘I would much rather them pay to have a conversation with me than waste $50 on gambling,’ she said.
The Gold Coast-based influencer added that one of her welfare customers had spent a jaw-dropping sum on her custom content – admitting she felt glad she had brought him such happiness
‘It’s a human connection, unlike gambling which numbs, leaving people feeling disconnected from society. Whereas they know me and what I am doing every day, I am a real person!’
Taila says her overall experience as an adult content creator has taught her some valuable lessons about the importance of boundaries and genuine connection within the creator economy.
‘A lot of people assume it’s just transactional,’ she said.
‘But after years of talking to some subscribers, you realise there’s actually real friendships and emotional connections there too.’
