Be a witness to history, as the Artemis II crewed mission around the moon is set to lift off.
HOUSTON — The Artemis II mission is set to launch on today and excitement is building from coast to coast. The launch marks NASA’s first crewed mission around the moon in more than 50 years. The mission will send four astronauts on about a 10-day journey around the moon, taking us one step closer to returning humans to the lunar surface.
Here in Houston, roughly 1,300 people have reserved spots for a sold-out watch party at Space Center Houston in hopes of witnessing history. If you’re not at the watch party, we’ve got your front row seat to history on KHOU 11 and KHOU 11+! The launch window opens at 5:24 p.m. Houston time, but we’ve got coverage throughout the day.
