Ariana Grande has finally revealed that Petal is the title of her new album set for release on July 31.

The singer took to social media to share the cover art for her new album, which shows her smiling and looking blissful, with her hair on her face.

“Something that is full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging,” reads the description of the album in the announcement.

Grande’s eighth studio album will be released via Republic Records and was executive-produced and co-written by Grande and Ilya Salmanzadeh.

Ilya also shared the artwork for Grande’s album on Instagram, with the singer replying with a smiley emoticon.

Grande has been teasing her return to music after 2024’s Eternal Sunshine release. The singer had been focused on acting lately with Wicked, Focker-In-Law and American Horror Story Season 13, set to release later this year.

“Of course, music will be in my life forever,” she told The New York Times about her future in music. “I have to say that for my fans who are reading this who are going to have a heart attack.”

The last time Grande toured was in 2019, and since then, she has reflected on her career as a pop star.

“There was something broken about my relationship to pop music that was healed recently through the time away,” she said.

Grande’s time away was spent on filming the Wicked films under the direction of Jon M. Chu, in which she stars as Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo. The sequel, Wicked: For Good, is set to premiere on November 21.

“I think it got away from me in a way I didn’t expect,” Grande added while tearing up. “There’s a thing that comes along with your dreams coming true that feels dangerous at times.”
