It’s the question that Amelia Liana’s legion of followers can’t stop asking.
Ever since the influencer, who boasts 596,000 Instagram followers, dropped the bombshell earlier this month that she had married in secret, her stunned fanbase has been hungry for details: When did it happen? What wedding dress did she wear? But most importantly: who’s the lucky man?
In a 30-minute-long YouTube video announcing the news, titled ‘I GOT MARRIED!!!!’, posted last week, Amelia shared some limited details about the ceremony – pointedly stopping short of identifying her new husband.
But today, the Daily Mail can reveal the identity of Amelia’s mystery man, a super-wealthy Austrian venture capitalist named Michael Lewkowicz.
The couple said ‘I do’ in a lavish ceremony at Westminster’s Spencer House, a Grade I-listed 18th-century townhouse, which costs up to £15,000 to hire, earlier this year. For the nuptials, Amelia wore a gown and cathedral-length veil by British couture brand Sabina Bilenko.
She got ready at the iconic five-star Dorchester Hotel, where rooms cost £900 a night, and her reception was held at the Mayfair hotel Claridge’s.
The news of Amelia’s nuptials came as a total shock to her followers – not least because only weeks ago, the influencer, 34, was still posting about being single in her thirties, travelling and navigating life independently.
One YouTube video posted in late March was titled ‘single in my 30s’ in which she said: ‘When there is something serious, you guys will have the update.’

But last weekend, the content creator stunned her fanbase when she revealed, in a bombshell 30-minute YouTube video, she had married in secret, without sharing the news online
Now the Daily Mail can reveal that in a far cry from her usual content about ‘single life’, Amelia has tied the knot with 41-year-old businessman Michael Lewkowicz
Her reception was held at the Mayfair hotel Claridge¿s, while the ceremony took place at Westminster’s Spencer House
Indeed, Amelia is highly selective about the parts of her life she shares with her followers. Despite passionately sharing about her love for fashion and beauty for the past 15 years – first in a blog, then on TikTok and Instagram – very little has been known publicly about the social media star’s background.
Questions have long been asked, too, about the source of her personal wealth: she is often seen wearing designer clothing and accessories, including an impressively large collection of sought-after Hermes Birkin bags, which can retail for up to £60,000 each.
And she frequently shares snaps from glamorous getaways, including a brand trip to Italy’s Amalfi Coast, skiing holidays to St Moritz and Gstaad and visits to Tokyo, Paris, Venice and New York.
Today, we can disclose that Amelia’s real name is Amelia Sopher – and that she is the daughter of Richard Sopher, the CEO of banking and asset management firm Edmond de Rothschild Capital Holdings, who rarely appears on her social media platforms.
Known as ‘Rick’, the hugely successful businessman and his wife, Carol Sopher, who also have another daughter, Hannah, 32, live in upmarket Belgravia, in a £1.7million maisonette within a stucco-fronted townhouse.
Richard is a prominent philanthropist who often speaks on interfaith relations. He also chairs several educational charities in the UK.
Amelia, meanwhile, lives in a £2.5million London townhouse in the well-heeled area of Notting Hill that she purchased in June 2021, later undertaking significant renovations which she documented for followers online.
The three-bedroom, three-bathroom terraced property now has an enormous custom-built walk-in wardrobe, in which Amelia often films outfit and make-up routine videos.

As for Amelia’s new husband, Michael Lewkowicz, he has an impressive portfolio of senior business positions after a long career as a venture capitalist.
He is the co-founder and CEO of sushi restaurant firm Yami Foods and an investor and ‘board observer’ at Playermaker, an AI tool allowing footballers to track their exercise.
Lewkowicz, who goes by the name Micky, also owned until 2023 the investment firm ML Delta GmbH, which invests in technology and real estate.
Before this, he spent several years at Reimagine Ventures – an international venture capital firm which invests in entertainment, gaming and tech – before leaving in November last year.
He has also previously been involved with medical device firm Microbot Medical, supplement firm NOVOS and software company Syte, among other companies.
Lewkowicz studied economics at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States, which is part of the prestigious Ivy League, before starting his career at the bank Eurohypo, as an analyst.
Amelia vowed to keep details about her romantic life a secret after a previous engagement ended in 2018, after six months. This newspaper can disclose that her fiancé on that occasion was British entrepreneur Robert Espir.
It is understood the pair parted ways in tricky circumstances, with Robert taking the difficult decision to end the relationship after those within the couple’s circles raised concerns. They are thought to have been alarmed at what they saw as Amelia’s disproportionate focus on content creation about the wedding – rather than the relationship itself.
Amelia alluded to the breakdown of her previous engagement in a second video about her secret wedding this week, describing the experience as ‘traumatic’ and as leaving her with ‘post-traumatic stress disorder’.
‘I decided my next relationship I would share online would be my husband,’ she said. ‘It’s been hard not to come online and scream and shout it from the rooftops.’
But, the Daily Mail understands, her union to Lewkowicz came as a surprise even to some of the guests invited to the wedding. Invitations to the ceremony are thought not to have mentioned the location of the nuptials or even the couple’s surnames, with some recipients unaware of who the groom was.
Many followers claimed to have felt blindsided or betrayed by Amelia’s news.
One source said: ‘There’s a difference between valuing privacy and keeping a relationship out of the public eye.
‘But in this case, she allegedly spent months, if not years, presenting herself as single and leading followers to believe something that wasn’t true.’
One viewer commented: ‘Until now, I took your videos at face value and now I can see that everything was planned in advance.
‘I’ll seriously question whether I’ll ever watch another one of them again.’
Another wrote: ‘What was the point in all the long vents about how “behind in life you are” and repeating you’re single over and over… ‘Could have been done differently while maintaining your boundaries.’
Amelia has insisted she did not intend to mislead followers – but she has since admitted to editing videos to remove signs of her relationship.
‘I had to keep cutting footage because I would have my ring on,’ she said. ‘I had a video up and then deleted it and re-uploaded it.’
Whether marriage marks a new chapter of openness with her devoted fans remains to be seen.
