As Adults fans await a Season 3 renewal, the roommates could be getting a new neighbor if the hit FX series returns.
Malik Elassal, who stars as Samir in the Queens-set Gen Z sitcom, nominated NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani to make a cameo, noting “I feel like we could make this happen” to get the Democratic Socialist politician in a future episode.
“Dude, let’s get Zohran on the show… like we have his contact information,” he said in a video atop the Empire State Building. “Well, he’s from Queens. He would just be like campaigning still, and then Anton’s like, ‘Honey, you don’t have to do this. Get in here!’ And then we just have a night.”
Elassal continued, “And I feel like we could make this happen. We have mutuals. It’s crazy to have mutuals with the mayor.”
In Adults, a group of five 20-somethings in New York City attempt to master adulthood while sharing their friend Samir’s (Elassal) family home in Queens, which he has to himself. The show also stars Lucy Freyer, Owen Thiele, Amita Rao and Jack Innanen.
Now available to stream on Hulu, Season 2 cameos include Raven-Symoné, Zosia Mamet, Gaten Matarazzo, Isaac Cole Powell, Ben Marshall, Jake Shane and a return from Season 1 guest Julia Fox.
