Donald Trump has remodeled the White House, paved over the Rose Garden, and fussed with the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool.
On Monday, however, the renovation attracting the most attention was his new look.
A recent event was intended to highlight the administration’s education agenda ahead of the new school year.
The 80-year-old president debuted another variation of his famous blond combover during an Aug. 24 back-to-school event in the White House Rose Garden.
He appeared alongside Education Secretary Linda McMahon to discuss education policy.
But viewers were too busy studying the wispy swoosh traveling across his forehead.
Trump had tested out the look over the weekend at the IndyCar race around the National Mall.
One social media user highlighted the “Incredible things happening with Trump’s hair” at the event, prompting many to notice he “forgot to combover the left side. He’s losing it.”

This week, Trump had shifted to an unusually dramatic side part. It looked less like a hairstyle and more like a weather map tracking a confused tropical storm.
“Switching it up changed his part. What’s next new makeup artist?” another asked.

A third person skipped the salon language entirely: “Wtf is on top of that empty head today ffs?”
Then came the political comparisons. “Is that known as the Harp lick?” one commenter asked, referencing Trump’s executive assistant Natalie Harp.
By now, many are convinced Trump had been sporting a “wig” since earlier this month. A few noticed, “the whole side of his hair is gone” on the right.
Those who scrutinized Trump’s newly side-swept hair questioned the noticeably darker color.
White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles shared photos from her recent visit to the White House. One image in particular prompted one person to ask, “So Trump’s hair is brown now?”

Another took aim at the hairstyle itself, writing, “That rug may even be worse than the one before.”
Outgoing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt previously blamed Trump’s fuller Las Vegas look on flattering “lighting.”
But Leavitt’s defense comes as her own time in Trump’s inner circle winds down.
She is preparing to leave the administration after serving as the youngest White House press secretary in history and becoming one of Trump’s most reliable defenders.
However, Trump’s August hair tour has been relentless since before she announced her planned exit. Wind exposed a wide patch of scalp on Aug. 2.
Three days later, his hair looked thicker and darker during an appearance in Las Vegas. The volume disappeared the following day and returned by Aug. 7.
Two days later, Trump covered his head with a white hat at LIV Golf New York. On Aug. 14, he insisted he had the secret that could make someone appear to have “more hair.”

“You want that good hair [shampoo] that can puff up your hair a little bit more so it makes you look like you have 4 percent more hair than you had,” he said. “They charge you for it.”
That explanation did little to settle a debate that has followed him for decades.
In 2015, Trump invited a woman onstage to inspect his hair after denying that he wore a toupee. Three years later, he admitted working hard to conceal his bald spot.
The hairstyle may keep changing, but the routine remains remarkably consistent.
Trump denies everything, the wind testifies, and the internet brings receipts.
