The most influential athletes, coaches, advocates, and investors in sports will gather in New York City on July 16 for the inaugural TIME100 Sports Gala.
The event will feature voices from the 2026 TIME100 Sports list. This is the first year TIME has put together such a list, and honorees include NBA star LeBron James; two-time Olympic gold medalist figure skater Alysa Liu, who made a splash at this year’s Winter Games; and NBA star Jalen Brunson, who helped lead the New York Knicks to their championship victory this year—their first in more than five decades. Former soccer player Alex Morgan, NFL player Myles Garrett, Olympic gold medalist gymnast Jordan Chiles, and soccer player Trinity Rodman are also among those recognized.

As guests walk down the red carpet the evening of July 16, they’ll be interviewed by hosts Speedy Morman and Ally Love. And the public will get an up-close-and-personal look at those conversations—and maybe a few lighthearted games that capture the competitive spirit of the TIME100 Sports attendees—through a livestream.
