STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A couple from Woodbridge was arrested over the weekend for pilfering Pokémon cards from a Target in Stafford County, deputies said.
The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said on Dec. 28 at around 5 p.m., deputies responded to the Target located on S. Gateway Drive for a shoplifting incident.
There, deputies arrested a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman who “joined forces to conceal $231” worth of Pokémon cards and leave the Target, SCSO said.
Additionally, it was found out that the 20-year-old had shoplifted $133 of Pokémon cards the week prior.
The man was charged with two counts of shoplifting and the woman was charged with one count of shoplifting.
“The purloined Pokemon cards were returned to the store,” SCSO said.
