The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating after a woman was shot by unknown masked suspects in Studio City late Friday night.
According to an LAPD spokesperson, the incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. in the 3900 block of Kentucky Drive. The area is a residential neighborhood located just off the intersection of Lankershim and Cahuenga boulevards near the 101 Freeway.
The victim, an unidentified woman, was inside an apartment complex parking garage when two suspects walked up and opened fire before fleeing in a vehicle.
No details surrounding the suspects’ vehicle was available.
The woman who was shot was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
It is not known if the shooting was gang related or if the suspects stole anything, the LAPD spokesperson said.
Reports of the victim being followed home were not immediately to be confirmed.
