A suspect was arrested after a woman was found shot to death outside a home in San Bernardino County.
On June 23, deputies responded to reports of shots fired at a residence on the 9000 block of Santa Fe Avenue in Hesperia shortly before 1 a.m.
Arriving deputies found the victim, Jasmine Keohi, 24, of Hesperia, lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The gunman had fled the area. Detectives later identified Jose Antonio Ramirez, 41, of Hesperia, as the primary suspect. He had also allegedly shot a second victim that night, an adult male who has not been identified.
Ramirez was found at a nearby apartment complex and taken into custody by SWAT team members.
He was arrested for murder and booked into the High Desert Detention Center where he remains in custody on $1 million bail.
Details on the shooting, including a motive and how the suspect and victims were known to each other, were not released.
