A woman was seriously injured when a fire erupted at an apartment building in Los Angeles on Sunday, authorities said.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the blaze was reported at around 10:24 a.m. at a Two-story, garden-style apartment building on the 3700 block of Western Avenue in Exposition Park.
The fire was knocked down in just 12 minutes, authorities said.
It wasn’t immediately clear how the fire started, however the place of origin was a mattress located in an apartment unit. The fire was contained to that unit, authorities said.
A woman, about 30 years old, was transported to a local hospital in at least serious condition. No additional details relating to her status were immediately made available.
