Emergency crews were sent to a Metro station in Los Angeles’ Boyle Heights neighborhood after a woman became pinned between a train and the platform Wednesday night.
The incident reported at the 1311 East 1st Street station took place shortly before 10 p.m.
Crews arrived to find the 50-year-old patient in need of extrication, the Los Angeles Fire Department stated in a news alert.
The unidentified woman was eventually freed and transported to a local hospital in what the Fire Department described as “at least” serious condition.
Video showed officers investigating the situation as passengers were safely removed from the train.
There was no immediate word on how the woman became trapped.
No other injuries were reported.
