Wet, wintry weather arrives this weekend, with possible snow showers forecast to continue next week.
There is a chance of snow, freezing rain and sleet before 2 p.m. Saturday, the National Weather Service predicts. The rest of the afternoon will bring more rain, sleet likely and patchy fog with a high near 37. Less than a half inch of daytime snow and sleet accumulation is possible.
The rain will continue throughout the night with a low around 37.
More rain and possibly a thunderstorm could be in the area before 1 p.m. Sunday. The showers are expected to continue throughout the rest of the day with patchy fog and high near 59. The rain is predicted to continue into Sunday before turning partly cloudy after 7 p.m., with a low around 33.
Monday, Presidents Day, should be mostly sunny with a high near 38 and wind gusts as high as 40 mph. The overnight low will be around 23.
Tuesday is expected to be mostly sunny with a high of 36 and a low of 22.
More snow is expected Wednesday, mainly after 1 p.m. Otherwise, it’s expected to be mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. The chance of precipitation is 60%.
The snow could continue into most of the day and evening Thursday with a high near 32 and a low around 22.
Friday is forecast to be sunny and breezy with a high near 35.
