Which is the biggest In-N-Out Burger in the country?

In-N-Out Burger has plans to open a colossal restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip in 2026, complete with a larger-than-average dining area, a company store on the premises, and, of course, a signature pair of criss-crossing palm trees.

But as grand as the upcoming Vegas location is designed to be, it still won’t seat as many hungry customers as the In-N-Out in Barstow.

Of the hundreds of In-N-Out locations in America, the restaurant in Barstow is the largest in the company’s portfolio in terms of seating area. Situated off Interstate 15 almost halfway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, it’s become a popular stop for tourists and road-trippers, as noted by visitors on Yelp, Google and TripAdvisor.

In-N-Out’s massive expansion eastward takes shape

“This In-N-Out is really just a tradition amiright?” one Yelp user said. “You cannot drive to/from Vegas or anywhere East without stopping here.”

Several reviewers also noted that tour buses or intercity buses frequently stop at the Barstow location, likely during trips between LA and Vegas, or on day trips to the outlet malls near the restaurant.

Others remarked on how large and crowded the restaurant feels, though most said the operations were running smoothly during their visits.

“The kitchen alone is as big as a normal In-N-Out restaurant, so they pump out those burgers with lightning speed,” one Yelp reviewer claimed.

Even still, at least a few visitors claimed the restaurant is much less busy after the afternoon rush, when travelers have moved on to their destinations, or tourists have headed back home.

When asked, a representative for In-N-Out Burger did not disclose whether tourism factored into its decision to place a large restaurant in Barstow. They also didn’t say whether the Barstow restaurant is larger, in terms of square-footage, than the restaurant proposed for the BLVD shopping complex on the Las Vegas Strip in 2026.

The rep did confirm, however, that the upcoming location in Las Vegas — which is projected to have over 8,000 square feet of indoor space, along with 2,500 square feet of patio space — would still be “second only to our restaurant in Barstow” in terms of seating capacity.

And, while it may lack slightly in seating, the BLVD outpost’s location on the Las Vegas Strip might offer arguably better ambiance than the Barstow location.

“In-N-Out is always awesome,” one customer summed up of the Barstow location, “even in the middle of the desert in what feels like the middle of nowhere.”
