Vice President Harris will be joined by former first lady Michelle Obama Saturday afternoon at a rally in battleground Michigan, as early voting opens up statewide.
The event marks the former first lady’s first appearance on the trail with the Democratic nominee. Former President Obama has participated in multiple campaign events since endorsing her campaign after President Biden withdrew from the race.
Harris has also held many star-studded rallies in recent weeks, as the race remains tight ahead of Election Day. Saturday’s event comes on the heels of a rally in Houston, where Beyoncé made an appearance and endorsed the vice president.
With just over a week until the election, Harris and her GOP rival, former President Trump, are tied in the Great Lakes State — each with 47.9 percent support, according to The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s aggregate of polls.
Trump also campaigned in the “blue wall” state earlier Saturday.
The rally in Kalamazoo, Mich., is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. EDT.
