Vice President Harris took her campaign to battleground Nevada Thursday evening, rallying voters with two late-night events.
With nine Electoral College votes up for grabs, Harris was set to give her closing arguments in the critical swing state. The vice president has also upped her outreach to Black and Hispanic voters, who make up a significant portion of the Silver State.
The vice president will also speak to supporters in Las Vegas late Thursday, after she became the first presidential candidate to advertise on the infamous Sphere. She will be joined by musician and actress Jennifer Lopez.
Lopez is also expected to deliver remarks focused on the “importance of voting,” with less than a week until Election Day. She voiced her support for Harris after a comedian made controversial jokes about Puerto Rico at former President Trump’s recent rally in New York City.
Trump is also campaigning in Nevada on Thursday.
The Hill/Decision Desk HQ’s polling index shows the former president leading Harris by less than 1 point in the state — 48.1 percent to 47.4 percent.
The vice president’s remarks from Reno were expected to begin around 8:30 p.m. EDT.
