WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The DC Fire and EMS Department (DCFD) said crews responded to a large brush fire in Rock Creek Park on Saturday morning.
Crews said the fire was in Rock Creek Park at Grove 10, and several acres of woodland were involved.
About 75 first responders, including units from the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS), were at the scene to extinguish the flames. Responders said the process was “labor intensive.”

In a post on X at 10:16 a.m., DCFD said the incident was under control, but crews continue to monitor the area for any flare-ups. Fire investigators were also at the scene.
There were no injuries reported.
