PRINCE GOERGE’S COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — The Washington Commanders is teaming up with rapper Wale and the Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation to host a special youth football clinic.
The event will kick off at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex on Nov. 12. On Tuesday, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., young athletes will have the chance to get hands-on instructions from Commanders players and department staff, participate in competitive drills while gaining insight into the game of football.

Officials said the partnership is designed to provide girls and boys with the opportunity to improve their skills on the field while learning the fundamentals of the game.
But, to add a twist of fun, the parks and recreation team said DMV native, Wale will be there to engage and speak to the young athletes.
The Grammy-nominated rapper, songwriter, and producer is best known for his contributions to the hip-hop industry and his voice for children in communities across the Washington-Metropolitan area.
Since making his mark in the music industry in the early 2000s, Wale has continued to be passionate about using his platform to inspire young children through his music.
