A DRUNK Virgin Atlantic passenger went berserk and battered her partner with punches and headbutts after downing 15 cans of wine mid-air.
Karen Baker, 59, was arrested on the tarmac after turning a Miami to London trip into a nine-hour flight from hell.
The bizarre row began when Baker accused passengers behind her of kicking her seat during the February 9 flight.
Prosecutor Ashleigh Ettienne told Uxbridge magistrates’ court that Baker “started to try and have a conversation with those seated around her” but was “speaking very loudly and slurring her words” after glugging huge amounts of booze.
Ms Ettienne added: “When other passengers did not respond, she told one: ‘F**k you then.’
“Her partner tried to calm her down, at which point she got in his face and shouted: ‘What the f*ck did you say?’
“She is then seen to assault her partner by trying to headbutt him and elbowing him a few times, and punching him.”
Baker had to be pulled off her partner, who we are not naming, by other passengers and cabin crew.
After they tried to intervene, Baker, who lives in a £200,000 three-bed home in Lincoln, bragged: “I will be going back to my big house and you will be going back to your council houses.”
Panicked flight staff moved the woman to the back of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and told her to calm down.
But Baker continued to abuse “terrified” passengers and made at least one racist comment during the verbal tirade.
Ms Ettienne continued: “When a passenger told her to shut up, she responded: ‘Oh f*ck off then’.”
Baker told another passenger: “You are a cocky b***h. Look at that ugly b***h. Who does she think she is? Cruella de Ville?”
The yob was arrested by cops at Heathrow, where flight crew told officers she had ordered 15 cans of wine.
Virgin Atlantic offers 187ml cans of Malbec and other wines by British firm Nice Wines.
She claimed she had been ordering the cans for herself and her family, but Ms Ettienne said cabin crew “noticed she was keeping the cans to herself.”
Baker wore a long beige coat, black trousers, and black high-heeled shoes to court.
She admitted to being drunk on an aircraft, racially aggravated harassment and using threatening or abusive words to cause alarm or distress.
Baker had denied assault but was convicted by magistrates.
Rex Da Rocha JP told Baker she would be committed to Isleworth crown court for sentence, meaning she could face a prison term.
She was given unconditional bail until the hearing on November 12.
