A brutal crash involving a wrong-way driver killed two people in Pomona late Saturday night.
According to a CHP spokesperson, the collision was first reported around 11 p.m. on the westbound 60 Freeway near Reservoir Street.
The driver was going east in the westbound lanes, the spokesperson said.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene and two others were taken to a hospital where their conditions remain unknown.
Video from the scene shows multiple mangled vehicles, including one that came to rest on top of the freeway’s center median.
A SigAlert was issued for the carpool lane as well as lanes #1 and #2 that lasted for about three hours.
Authorities were unable to confirm whether DUI was a factor in the crash.
