AZUSA, Calif. (KTLA) — Muddy hillsides weren’t the only areas of Southern California to experience the worst of the elements during Thursday’s rainstorms.
The inside of a Smart & Final grocery store in Azusa soaked in some of the rain on Thursday night after its roof collapsed.
Video from KTLA viewer Ashley Andres showed a massive hole in the store’s roof, with water spewing down. The damage looked devastating, though the extent was not immediately clear.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department told KTLA that crews responded to reports of flooding at the store. Additional footage from the scene showed heavy rain outside the store at the time, with a nearly flooded parking lot on Foothill Boulevard in Azusa.
Luckily, no one was injured when the roof collapsed.
