The Los Angeles Police Department is looking into a reported kidnapping where victims were allegedly forced into a vehicle and driven across South L.A.
Two women told police they were forced into the car by three men at 111th Street and Compton Avenue in Watts around 2 a.m. Monday morning, an LAPD spokesperson confirmed to KTLA.
The females were taken to Bellflower and then to Long Beach, where they were able to leave the car in the 6600 block of Cherry Avenue, the spokesperson stated.
They called 911 from Cherry Avenue, the spokesperson elaborated. It is not known if they were dropped off at the location or if they escaped from the vehicle.
Video from the scene shows the two women speaking with officers; they were not harmed in the incident, LAPD said.
There was no immediate word on whether the male suspects were known to the female victims.
