HARFORD COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Firefighters are at the scene of a house fire that broke out and began to spread through a neighborhood in Bel Air on Wednesday night.
Harford County Fire and EMS said volunteer crews from Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company – as well as surrounding companies – were in the 1700 block of Woodhome Drive after a car crashed into a home, which then caught fire.
Due to the spread of the fire, neighboring homes were being evacuated shortly before 8:30 p.m.
The fire was believed to involve the natural gas line. BGE gas company and the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal were called to the scene. No injuries were reported.
