AN URGENT search has been launched for an elderly couple who vanished from their home on a nudist ranch in California.
Stephanie Menard, 73, and her husband, Daniel, 79, from Redlands in San Bernadino, were reported missing on Sunday.
They were last seen leaving their home, part of the Olive Dell nudist resort, at around 10am on Saturday.
Cops said their car was found unlocked close to the home.
The couple’s dog, a Shih Tzu called Cuddles, is also missing, the LA Times reports.
Stephanie’s bag was found at their house along with both of their mobile phones.
Authorities have said Daniel suffers from diabetes and dementia, hastening the police search for the couple.
One of their friends, Sandy Marinelli, told ABC: “Each day just gets longer and longer, and I get more and more worried.
“There’s just nothing to go off of right now.
“It’s very concerning because this is not normal for them at all.”
Another pal, Tammie Wilkerson, said: “There’s no way that Stephanie or Dan could’ve walked away from that car.
“She has a cane. It was at home, her purse, their cellphones – things they would never have left at home.”
She added: “They’re very sweet.
“There’s not a mean bone in their body at all, which makes this confusing.”
Friends claim the couple were part of a potential lawsuit involving the ranch, were being harassed and were scared before they vanished, ABC reports.
