Two men were discovered fatally wounded Tuesday evening inside of a residence on the South Side in the Washington Park neighborhood, Chicago police said.
The victims, both 19 years of age, were found shot multiple times shortly after 6:30 p.m. inside a building in the 5300 block of South Wabash Avenue. Police first described one of the victims as a John Doe.
Wednesday morning the Cook County medical examiner’s office identified one of the men as Jeramiah Lee of the same block where he was found shot. The other man was identified as Daquan Walters but no home address was listed for Walters.
Police said both men suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body and were both taken to UChicago Medicine where they both were pronounced dead.
No one was in custody for the fatal double shooting and detectives were investigating.
