Judge is just 1-for-12 with seven strikeouts in the World Series and hitting just .140 (6-for-43) with two homers and 20 strikeouts in the postseason. He needs to erupt on Tuesday night when he sees a different Los Angeles hurler in each at-bat or New York might have the day off Wednesday.

Freddie Freeman of the Dodgers has homered in all three games—that Game 1 walk-off grand slam will be remembered forever—and has tied a record by hitting homers in five straight World Series games, matching George Springer. Even Shohei Ohtani (1-for-11) doing practically nothing other than hurting his left shoulder can slow the Dodgers. 

Funny that a team like Los Angeles that spent more than a billion dollars last offseason is resorting to a bullpen game on Tuesday. Right-hander Luis Gil is being asked to save the New York season. He lasted just four innings against Cleveland in his previous start this postseason.

New Orleans Pelicans at Golden State Warriors

Curry injured his left ankle during Sunday’s 112-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Warriors need someone to step up. Tuesday’s contest is the first in two nights against the Pelicans, who are coming off a 125-103 road loss against the Portland Trail Blazers.

It’s hard to put your faith in Buddy Hield, who was 3 of 14 from the field, including 1 of 9 from 3-point range, for eight points on Sunday. Hield (over 17.5 points, -102) was superb in his first two games with the Warriors, averaging 24.5 points on 18-of-26 shooting, including 12 of 16 from 3-point range.

CJ McCollum (over 21.5, -111) scored 27 points against Portland for his third straight 20-point outing. Zion Williamson (over 22.5, -106) and Brandon Ingram (over 18.5, -122) are options despite both scoring just 14 against the Trail Blazers.

Golden State’s Jonathan Kuminga (under 20.5, -128) could be an under play as he is averaging just 8.0 points per game. But Ingram, who had 33 and 21 in the first two games of the season, is the guy to hop on Tuesday.

Los Angeles Kings at San Jose Sharks

It took 10 games, but the Sharks have recorded a victory, and it was impressive. San Jose looked on its way to another loss when it trailed the Utah Hockey Club 4-1 after two periods before eventually prevailing 5-4 in overtime.

Alexander Wennberg scored the winner in overtime to end curiosity over whether the Sharks might not win before Thanksgiving. They certainly were a turkey of a team prior to delivering the spectacular comeback victory.

San Jose opens a five-game homestand against the Kings, who also beat Utah (3-2) in their last game on Saturday. Los Angeles is a good team, and that is trouble for the Sharks.

Joel Edmundson scored two goals against Utah for the Kings, who are playing on the road for the eighth time in 10 games. But playing the Sharks shouldn’t be a problem for a Los Angeles team that has allowed two or fewer goals in four of the past five games.
