Vice President Vance’s office has hired pundit Tucker Carlson’s son Buckley as a top press aide.
Buckley Carlson previously worked as a top aide to Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.), the former chairman of the conservative Republican Study Committee and a Trump ally.
News of Buckley Carlson’s hiring was first reported by ABC News and confirmed by The Hill on Monday.
Buckley Carlson will serve as deputy press secretary under Vance, who has shown a willingness to push back forcefully on questioning from journalists and promote President Trump’s agenda during media appearances and interviews.
Carlson, a former cable news host, launched his own media company in 2023 and has solidified himself as a member of Trump’s inner circle in recent months, sitting with Trump at last summer’s Republican convention and hosting him as part of a speaking tour along the campaign trail.
