WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) – Vice President Kamala Harris returned to Washington, D.C., after a weekend of campaigning on the West Coast, while former President Donald Trump visited a Georgia town struck by Hurricane Helene.
The “All the Smoke” podcast with former NBA Players Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson released an episode on Monday with Vice President Harris. Harris talked about marijuana, race, the economy, among several other topics.
“When the middle class is strong in America, America’s economy is strong,” Harris said.
Former President Trump visited Pennsylvania over the weekend and continued to attack Vice President Harris and President Joe Biden on the border.
“Kamala Harris can never be forgiven for erasing our border,” said Trump.
Harris visited the border on Friday, as part of her West Coast trip.
The campaigns now turn their attention to the Vice-Presidential debate on Tuesday night.
President Joe Biden was asked if he had any advice for Gov. Tim Walz, the Democratic Vice-Presidential candidate.
“I have confidence in him,” Biden said.
As Trump toured hurricane damage in Valdosta, G.A., he answered the same question about Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sen. JD Vance.
“I’ve spoken to him, I think he’ll do great,” Trump said.
Tuesday’s debate between Walz and Vance is the last scheduled debate between the two campaigns.
